My Once Upon a Time...

  Day 148   Fun at lunch with Matthias Day 149 Children's Museum Day 150   We had a busy day. Katie and I took Fox to his first Gymboree Class in the morning and we had so much fun! Best birthday gift ever.     Afterwards we stopped by a nearby splash pad, but that visit was cut short when Fox face planted on the concrete. Somebody get that kid a helmet!   That afternoon we watched one of Fox's friends for a few hours. It doesn't look like it in this picture (I love that they're holding hands), but Fox was actually a little (okay, a lot) jealous whenever one of us held his buddy.  Day 151   Playdate with some friends. Fox is not a water baby and was more interested in riding the outdoor toys.  Day 152   Learning time at the library. He looks like such a big kid in this picture!  Day 153   Fox was a little sick and congested and had a hard time breathing at night...

 Katie and I met in Sacramento and used to live there for a year before moving to Arizona. We haven't been back since 2008, so we decided to go visit her Grandma, who still lives there and spend some time in San Francisco as well.  Our trip didn't start out on the best note, when our flight was delayed and we were stuck at the airport with a toddler who was running around like a wild child.  Well, I guess we could count ourselves lucky to be even allowed through security, because Katie had booked my ticket under my maiden name (for whatever reason, I changed it over 4 years ago...haha) and the only identification I had on me with that name was a Costco card. I didn't know if I was relieved or scared that they let me go through with that! We were supposed to get to our hotel that afternoon, but didn't make it until around 9pm, which was about two hours after Fox's bedtime and he about had it, but did surprisingly well, considering the circumstances.  ...
