Date with Finn

Katie took Fox on a dinner date, so Finn and I had our own special night out. He saw this light the last time we went to the aquarium, but didn't have enough money, so he saved for a few weeks and wanted to go back to get it. 



It's so nice having one on one time with them!


For dinner he chose Johnny Rockets. They were closing in 15 minutes and we were only able to get to go orders, but Finn loved that we were the only people in the restaurant.


We ate our food on the patio, and the weather was perfect.



I didn't take any pictures, but we also went to a little arcade after dinner and the nice lady who worked there gave him a free Icee. Finn kept telling me how much he loved the evening, and I couldn't agree more.

The rest of our July in pictures! Movie date with the boys! I took Finn and his best friend to the Aquarium one day, while Fox was at the allergist with Katie. They both had a blast. Trying to touch the sting rays... Sweet brotherly moment at a play place. One of my patients made this for me, and it made my day. He always wants to buy them, so he can help me cut them, but then won't eat them. When I pointed this out to him, he simply replied that I could take the watermelon to my co-workers again because they love it when I do.  Fox told me he is allergic to Goodwill and puts on this big act whenever I make them go. His throat starts to be itchy and he can't breathe. We might have to get him tested again...hahaha. We visited a lot of play places this summer to stay out of the heat. March iPhone dump

A look back at the month of March! Fox and I had a few hours to ourselves while Finn was at a birthday party, and he wanted to go shopping at Target and get some Starbucks. Sounds like my kind of date! This is where you can find him most days, playing games with his friends online, while simultaneously being on facetime with them. When did he get so big? Family game night outside! My sour patch kid. He told me he will still cuddle with me until he is 42...haha! I've been having a really hard time sharing parenting time lately. It kills me every time when I have to drop them off every other week for a stretch of five days, and I have been getting anxiety attacks. I know they are well taken care of, I know they have fun there and don't even think about me, but it still sucks. Whenever I'm not with them, I'm at work, and I guess it's just been extra hard because I never had to be away from them as much as I have since becoming a nurse.  Fox brought this home from schoo...
