September iPhone dump

Our September in pictures...

Homework has been so much easier with the boys than it had been in previous years.

Finn made this for me...I love how it says "Cause you help people that are sick and you give us candy" haha.

He told me he was bored, so I put him to work helping me with dinner and he loved it.

Walk after dinner to the ice cream store.

Starbucks date with Fox after school while we wait for Finn's bus (we got him one too of course).

We tried out a new play place called Slick City and had so much fun, that we got a membership for two months.

Puzzle and Hocus Pocus night with the boys.

Finn and I had a special one on one date while Fox was at a playdate.

He chose Dave and Busters!

We visited the candy store and had lunch at his favorite place together, it was such a great afternoon with him.

Meanwhile, Fox had no fun at all without us!

He made himself a little bed on the floor and I was wondering why...come to find out the next day that the poor guy had strep throat.

Always my favorite part of the day...

Beautiful sunrise from the backyard before work!

This boy loves his dogs.

This patient and his family touched my heart. He gave me grey hairs all four days that I was with him, but I created such a bond to him and the family during this time, that we all had tears in our eyes when we said goodbye. They even gave me a little gift. These are the moments that I absolutely love my job, even when there are a lot of hard moments in between the special moments.

Lunches at school are back on, and I'm so happy that he still thinks it's special when I come and spend his lunch with him.

This is my 12-years in the making project. I always hated the dark brown color of the cabinets in my bathroom, but I was too intimidated to paint them myself. I finally hired a company and it was so much cheaper than I thought it would be, and wish I would've done it earlier.

This is the after! It'll probably take me another 12 years to retile, which is also something I've been wanting to do forever!

I used to make a lot of wreaths, but hadn't in years, but I made this for my friend and it felt nice being crafty again.

My patient gave me these little gifts, and it really summed up that particular shift.

Playdate with one of Fox's friends. One kid had an absolute blast...

...while the other was taking a rest under the play structure haha.
And this wraps up September!

July iPhone dump

The rest of our July in pictures! Movie date with the boys! I took Finn and his best friend to the Aquarium one day, while Fox was at the allergist with Katie. They both had a blast. Trying to touch the sting rays... Sweet brotherly moment at a play place. One of my patients made this for me, and it made my day. It's now hanging from the mirror in my car, as a reminder how fragile life is. This kid kills me with his watermelons. He always wants to buy them, so he can help me cut them, but then won't eat them. When I pointed this out to him, he simply replied that I could take the watermelon to my co-workers again because they love it when I do.  Fox told me he is allergic to Goodwill and puts on this big act whenever I make them go. His throat starts to be itchy and he can't breathe. We might have to get him tested again...hahaha. We visited a lot of play places this summer to stay out of the heat. This was at a library and the kids played with this lite-brite forever. Finn...

We took some family pictures this fall!

March iPhone dump

A look back at the month of March! Fox and I had a few hours to ourselves while Finn was at a birthday party, and he wanted to go shopping at Target and get some Starbucks. Sounds like my kind of date! This is where you can find him most days, playing games with his friends online, while simultaneously being on facetime with them. When did he get so big? Family game night outside! My sour patch kid. He told me he will still cuddle with me until he is 42...haha! I've been having a really hard time sharing parenting time lately. It kills me every time when I have to drop them off every other week for a stretch of five days, and I have been getting anxiety attacks. I know they are well taken care of, I know they have fun there and don't even think about me, but it still sucks. Whenever I'm not with them, I'm at work, and I guess it's just been extra hard because I never had to be away from them as much as I have since becoming a nurse.  Fox brought this home from schoo...
