My Once Upon a Time...

A few stray pictures from June that didn't make it on the blog yet. We found a science kit in a closet and Finn had fun trying it out and it kept him busy for about 30 minutes...haha. Fresh haircuts! We invited some friends over to come swim at our house! Group picture at work, I love the people I work with! Ali and I were twinning at work one day! He is just like me, we both love bread! We celebrated Miranda's 11th birthday with a swimming playdate. Friends for 11 years, how did these kids grow up so quickly? Marcela watched my kids one day while I was at book club and as you can see in the next few pictures, they didn't have any fun at all! I attended my first book club meeting and it was so fun. These are all my co-workers and it was so weird seeing them in regular clothes and not talking about patients and work haha. My friend Sonia did such an amazing job organizing all of this, it was our first meeting, and I can't wait for the next one. Living with a pre-teen...h...

For the last few years I had dreams about renting a cabin up in the mountains with a bunch of moms and our kids, and this year, we actually did it. Marcela and I carpooled there, while two of our other friends met us up north.  They were ready to explore the house we rented. It was such a beautiful space, and so perfect for our group. The kids all fought over the bunks in the beginning, when us moms knew well enough that half of those kids would end up in our beds when it came to bedtime.  The yard led right into some wooded area, and it was perfect to let the kids run around and explore. Someone brought a shark costume, so of course Fox had to try it on. All the moms! The kids were so cute, and made a plan to serve us drinks (these are sparkling waters), appetizers and dinner.  The spent hours in the kitchen, preparing food and serving us in the Master suite. They even made a menu! I was absolutely shocked that Fox participated in it, but loved that he did. This is what ...
