The windy city

I have talked about the boys half siblings families before, and I have loved the relationships we have built with them over the past 11 years.  For fall break, one of the families invited us to come stay with them in Chicago. I had met the moms before when they were pregnant with their first, but it was the first time for all of us to meet the kids. We loved going from Phoenix, where it was still 100 degrees, to this beautiful weather in Chicago. Half-brothers! The family lived in the cutest neighborhood. The kids quickly warmed up to each other while playing Mario Cart. The family had work and school the next day, so the boys and I ventured out on our own, determined to figure out the Chicago public transportation system. First stop was Starbucks of course! Their first time riding the subway. Neither of them was a big fan.
