Christmas at Schnepf

Christmas at Schnepf Farms is one of my favorite Christmas events every year. We went the day after Thanksgiving, because the weather was still mild, and we wanted to avoid the crowds.

Finn wanted to check out Santa's workshop while Fox was doing an inflatable obstacle course.

Fox and I went on the ferris wheel (Finn was too scared and stayed with my friend) and he kept telling me how special it was that it was just him and I.

The view from the top was beautiful, until we got stuck at the top for about ten minutes and we were swinging back and forth in the wind, which made me super nervous.

I love the little hayride they offer to visit the reindeer. Finn loved feeding them.

And this is probably my least favorite part every year, the glitter pinecone ornaments that leave a trail of glitter in my car until Halloween the following year.

I wasn't sure if he wanted to write a letter to Santa this year, or if he even still believed in Santa (he does!), but he was all about it.

"Dear Santa,
I have been pretty good this year but I just want to have a Shadowlugia Pokemon card, but not gold. Please. From Fox"

I realized this year, that seven seems to be the age where they don't want to ride little trains anymore. We almost had to drag Fox on the train...made me sad, because I love the Christmas train!

We stayed until they closed that night and all had a lot of fun!

April phone dump

Some more pictures of our April. He's my bed hog, but I love sharing the bed with him and the way he comes find me in his sleep to snuggle up to me. Work Crew! Easter Preparations...it took me a solid hour to fill all the eggs. Finn chipped his permanent front tooth, and had to get it fixed. He was so brave. I tried to hold his hand to let him know I was there, and he kept giving me a thumbs up. Reading in bed with them is my favorite. We went to play mini golf, and it was an absolutely shit show. Just look at Finn in the background, he was on fire on this day. That's his "cool face". Not pictured are all the times he melted down because he wasn't "good enough". I really need to stop playing this game with him, because it happens every single time...haha.  Book Club! I wasn't a fan of the book, but it was great getting out and talking about books with other readers. He got into kinetic sand for a few weeks, and I felt like my floors were covered in s...

July iPhone dump

The rest of our July in pictures! Movie date with the boys! I took Finn and his best friend to the Aquarium one day, while Fox was at the allergist with Katie. They both had a blast. Trying to touch the sting rays... Sweet brotherly moment at a play place. One of my patients made this for me, and it made my day. It's now hanging from the mirror in my car, as a reminder how fragile life is. This kid kills me with his watermelons. He always wants to buy them, so he can help me cut them, but then won't eat them. When I pointed this out to him, he simply replied that I could take the watermelon to my co-workers again because they love it when I do.  Fox told me he is allergic to Goodwill and puts on this big act whenever I make them go. His throat starts to be itchy and he can't breathe. We might have to get him tested again...hahaha. We visited a lot of play places this summer to stay out of the heat. This was at a library and the kids played with this lite-brite forever. Finn...
