Looking at these pictures, it seems like a lifetime ago that I took them, well, I'm still super behind so no wonder.
Bubbles at his Gymboree Class
Whatcha lookin' at? Just chillin' at Target! Target trips have become a nightmare with him, because he usually does not like to be strapped into the cart. Gone are the days that I could leisurely stroll through Target for an hour with him, now it's an "In and out" kind of deal. At least I spend less money there this way.
Waiting for Fox to get out of school. Can you tell it was blistering hot? Poor guy was so red.
We had dinner at my favorite restaurant with about ten girls. See that drink in my hand? That was my very FIRST alcoholic drink in TEN YEARS! Can you believe that? There wasn't a specific reason that I didn't drink any alcohol for so long, besides the fact that I was very sick the last time I had some. But after all the shit I've been through and not breastfeeding anymore, I felt like a drink was in order. I told Tiffany to order whatever she wanted for me, because let's face it, I have no clue when it comes to alcohol. She was so freaking excited and took that responsibility very seriously. I don't even remember what it was, but I do remember sleeping very well that night.
Sometimes I let him make a big mess in my office, just so I can get some work done.
Fox hasn't been very interested in going to the aquarium for the last couple of years, but he recently got into it again.
This was the first visit for Finn where he was able to walk by himself and he was so happy and proud. Walked around like he owned the place.
He cracks me up!
Finn wasn't the best helper when I pulled out the fall decorations, he was trying to eat them all!
We've been going to the Home Depot Kids Workshops with friends for the last few months and the kids were so happy with their little gardens that they built. And low and behold, the plant we planted in there is still going strong two months later!
Finn made a friend at Home Depot.
Fox painted this one afternoon and I seriously love it so much! We framed it and hung it in the playroom.
Finn finally got a playdate with someone his own age, although they couldn't care less about each other's presence.
The big kids were there too and Fox had a great time, this is actually one of his favorite play places.
These two side by side pictures were taken exactly one year apart. I love this toddler of mine fiercely, but can I please have that tiny baby back?
Monday morning blues
Another morning trying to get some work done in my office with this little tornado!
This was Fox's face when I "surprised" him by taking him and Finn to the open gym at Gymboree. He said it was boring and he didn't want to be there and was pouting hardcore.
This picture was taken about 90 seconds after the first one...haha. So typical...of course he had a blast.
I love when he snuggles up to me in his sleep. He always asks me to cuddle him which I will gladly do as long as he will let me.
At the Children's museum
It's not very often that it rains here, but when it does, most people love it. See the rainbow?
Bowling night with some of the girls. I'm terrible at bowling, but it was a lot of fun!
Matching Mama and baby outfits
This was super random, I was at In n Out with the boys and this elderly couple was sitting right behind us. When they left they handed Fox $2, one for him and one for Finn, for their piggy banks. Super sweet and Fox was very excited about it.
He ate some gummies in the car and when we arrived at the grocery store he looked like this. I mean, what the actual f*ck? It was impossible to get out, but we had to go into the store and he was really embarrassed.
Luckily we had a mask in the car, but he was still worried that people would notice the mess in his hair.
What can I say...he loves the camera!
And he loves kisses from Mama!
More sleeping pictures of this one, because he's hilarious. It's still super hot in September but he decided to sleep with his unicorn hat that he calls his "sleeping hat", after he read all of those books he stacked up on his bed.
I don't know if I ever mentioned this, but our dog Cosie is living with Katie now. He came to visit us for a few days though while she was on yet another vacation. He loves being around the kids and Finn is obsessed with him.
This might look like they are playing nicely together, but I'm pretty sure Fox was yelling at him to not touch his magna tiles the entire time.
We went to the Children's Museum with some friends one day. We've had a membership for many years and I don't know why, but we've never been in their art studio. Fox really enjoys doing arts and crafts, so we spent a lot of time in there that morning.
Painting the robot
He made this robot by himself and was so proud. It's sitting on our playroom shelf now.
They have a huge tree house climbing structure at the museum that is three stories high. We made it all the way up!
Fox painted his face there but then decided he didn't like it anymore, and there was only so much we could do in the museum's bathroom and with baby wipes. He ended up walking around with a really dirty face for the rest of the day.
At the Natural History Museum later that same day, where we met some other friends.
I'll take the baby cuddles whenever I can get them.
Or big kid snuggles!
Fox's class invited all of the parents and grandparents to join at their flashlight reading. My mom and grandma, who were visiting from Germany came, along with GG (his great-grandmother). He is always so proud whenever I volunteer in his classroom or come to visit.
Another day at the aquarium with the Flash
That's how I feel every morning too!
We went to one of our favorite parks with my mom and grandma and Fox played in the splash pad forever.
I was glad to have some additional eyes with me (as in my family), because that playground is so huge and crowded, I always worry about losing someone and now that Finn won't let me contain him in the baby carrier anymore, it's becoming a challenge to take them both by myself to this particular park.
And that wraps up September!
