Summer Bucket List

Can anyone relate? I sure could!

For the first time, I decided not to send Fox to summer camp and instead keeping him home with me and Finn all summer. He had the choice of going to camp or staying home and he wanted to stay home, so since this was the first summer I didn't have to work, we decided to try it out. I was really nervous about having him home for 12 long weeks, but the summer kind of flew by and we had a lot of fun.
I never did a summer bucket list before, but Fox was all about it and we came up with some ideas and plans of what we wanted to do this summer together.
We almost got them all checked off, but there were a few things he didn't want to do anymore, so we skipped them. I tried to take a picture of each activity, so here we go:

Sleepover with Matthew

Silly String Fight

Go to the Splash Pad

Sleep in Mama's bed

Go to the Aquarium

iFly

Play games at home

Eat ice cream

Go to Uptown Jungle

Make s'mores

Go camping

Visit the library

Go to Skyzone (we did glow in the dark jump)

Glow in the dark mini golf

Make slime

And attack each other with slime bombs

Have a water balloon fight

Concert series at the train park

Watching a movie at the theater

Making rice krispie treats

Workshop at Home Depot

Eating Snow Cones

Writing cards to friends

Visiting the Natural History Museum

Painting rocks (he has a rock collection)

Swim at Night

Go to the Beach

Watch fireworks

Visit a water park

Swim Party with Jake
Whew, that was a lot. And while we had a lot of fun, the end dragged on a little bit and the first day of school couldn't get here soon enough!

Maybe we'll make a bucket list for Christmas time!

July iPhone dump

The rest of our July in pictures! Movie date with the boys! I took Finn and his best friend to the Aquarium one day, while Fox was at the allergist with Katie. They both had a blast. Trying to touch the sting rays... Sweet brotherly moment at a play place. One of my patients made this for me, and it made my day. It's now hanging from the mirror in my car, as a reminder how fragile life is. This kid kills me with his watermelons. He always wants to buy them, so he can help me cut them, but then won't eat them. When I pointed this out to him, he simply replied that I could take the watermelon to my co-workers again because they love it when I do.  Fox told me he is allergic to Goodwill and puts on this big act whenever I make them go. His throat starts to be itchy and he can't breathe. We might have to get him tested again...hahaha. We visited a lot of play places this summer to stay out of the heat. This was at a library and the kids played with this lite-brite forever. Finn...

April phone dump

Some more pictures of our April. He's my bed hog, but I love sharing the bed with him and the way he comes find me in his sleep to snuggle up to me. Work Crew! Easter Preparations...it took me a solid hour to fill all the eggs. Finn chipped his permanent front tooth, and had to get it fixed. He was so brave. I tried to hold his hand to let him know I was there, and he kept giving me a thumbs up. Reading in bed with them is my favorite. We went to play mini golf, and it was an absolutely shit show. Just look at Finn in the background, he was on fire on this day. That's his "cool face". Not pictured are all the times he melted down because he wasn't "good enough". I really need to stop playing this game with him, because it happens every single time...haha.  Book Club! I wasn't a fan of the book, but it was great getting out and talking about books with other readers. He got into kinetic sand for a few weeks, and I felt like my floors were covered in s...
