Finn | Week 2

Finn is two weeks old!
Well, he's actually almost four weeks old, but I'm running behind on these, so let's roll with it. 

And here is the comparison, Fox on the left and Finn on the right!

I received this teddy when I was a newborn and it's the only item I have left from my childhood, so it's incredibly special to me.



Aunt Ashlie came over one night to get some Finn cuddles and play with Fox!

First time in his stroller, he slept right through our entire outing! Fox never liked this bassinet, so I'm glad we will be getting some use out of it this time.

My first day at home by myself with both boys! Fox was still on school break and  while we didn't get out of our jammies until after lunch, we all had a great day!


He's making these faces a lot in his sleep!

First sponge bath while we waited for his umbilical cord to fall off.

One day the grandparents came over to see the boys! Grandpa can't wait for Finn to get older so they can play wild like him and Fox play all the time. Grandma on the other hand is like me and enjoys the baby cuddles before he grows up way too quickly and doesn't want to cuddle anymore!

They're always waiting to see his eyes, but he seems to be always sleeping when they come over.

Fox asked me to put Finn in his bed while he was sleeping, so I did...and my heart burst into a million pieces seeing this!

Mama had to get out of the house, so I met up with a group of friends for brunch and it was a much needed outing.




His first real bath, he loved it and was totally relaxed!

The rest of our July in pictures! Movie date with the boys! I took Finn and his best friend to the Aquarium one day, while Fox was at the allergist with Katie. They both had a blast. Trying to touch the sting rays... Sweet brotherly moment at a play place. One of my patients made this for me, and it made my day. It's now hanging from the mirror in my car, as a reminder how fragile life is. This kid kills me with his watermelons. He always wants to buy them, so he can help me cut them, but then won't eat them. When I pointed this out to him, he simply replied that I could take the watermelon to my co-workers again because they love it when I do.  Fox told me he is allergic to Goodwill and puts on this big act whenever I make them go. His throat starts to be itchy and he can't breathe. We might have to get him tested again...hahaha. We visited a lot of play places this summer to stay out of the heat. This was at a library and the kids played with this lite-brite forever. Finn...

First day of school

This year, I have a second and a sixth grader! How is he almost filling out this shirt? This is Fox's first year of middle school, and saying that we were both very nervous about is, is an understatement.  A look back through the years... So far, the boys had a pretty good first month. There have been a lot of changes for Fox, but he has been handling them all like a champ.  We are looking forward to some cooler months coming (hopefully) soon, and all the fall things!

August iPhone dump

A few of my favorite moments from August! Meet the teacher for the boys! I received this picture from Katie's wife, such a sweet bond they have. I'm also loving how his pajamas are inside out...haha. Walter came back to spend a few days with us! We watched him last summer, and the boys kept talking about him, so we were all so excited when his mom asked us to watch him for a few days. Notice Finn pouting. He was upset that Walter "only pays attention to Fox". So many big emotions in such a tiny body. Mr. Cool Guy at his dentist check up and teeth cleaning! I was trying to get some work done in my office, but this guy needed some attention. Finn made a bed for them, so they could sleep together. In the end, no one wanted to sleep there, but he was so happy to cuddle with Walter for a bit.
