Legoland Take 2

Last month Fox declared that our Legoland Trip was the best vacation ever, so we got season passes (since they are also valid at the small Legoland Discovery Center and Sea Life Aquarium we have in Phoenix) and made a plan to come back.
Katie's mom had invited us to stay with her at the beach rental they had for the month of June only 45 minutes from Legoland, so it was the perfect opportunity for us to take one last trip as a family of three.

We went on a Monday, in hopes that the place would be dead, but since school is out, it was a little more crowded than when we went in May on a Friday, but we never had to wait in line for longer than 15 minutes, so it worked out great.

It was supposed to be cool and we came prepared with a blanket for Fox and sweaters for all of us, but it turned out to be a beautiful and warm day and it was awesome to get away from the Phoenix heat for a few days.

This must have been one of Fox's favorite rides. You have to pull yourself up on the rope and then you let go, last time Grandpa did it with him and said it was hard and Katie couldn't agree more. Luckily I had an excuse in form of a big belly to not have to do this ride!

We also went to the Sea Life Aquarium there, which was right next door, since it was included in our tickets. Fox is not really a huge fan of aquariums, so this was a short lived visit.

He sure loves his legos! The workers and stores at Legoland have little lego figurines for kids to trade, so you can bring the ones you have double or don't like and trade them for something else. Fox loved doing that!

He was a little disappointed though that we didn't stay at the Legoland hotel this time around (so were we...that Hotel is amazing!), but he still had such a great day and told us he likes Legoland much better than Disneyland.

I'm sure we will be back soon, next time with a little baby in tow!

April phone dump

Some more pictures of our April. He's my bed hog, but I love sharing the bed with him and the way he comes find me in his sleep to snuggle up to me. Work Crew! Easter Preparations...it took me a solid hour to fill all the eggs. Finn chipped his permanent front tooth, and had to get it fixed. He was so brave. I tried to hold his hand to let him know I was there, and he kept giving me a thumbs up. Reading in bed with them is my favorite. We went to play mini golf, and it was an absolutely shit show. Just look at Finn in the background, he was on fire on this day. That's his "cool face". Not pictured are all the times he melted down because he wasn't "good enough". I really need to stop playing this game with him, because it happens every single time...haha.  Book Club! I wasn't a fan of the book, but it was great getting out and talking about books with other readers. He got into kinetic sand for a few weeks, and I felt like my floors were covered in s...

July iPhone dump

The rest of our July in pictures! Movie date with the boys! I took Finn and his best friend to the Aquarium one day, while Fox was at the allergist with Katie. They both had a blast. Trying to touch the sting rays... Sweet brotherly moment at a play place. One of my patients made this for me, and it made my day. It's now hanging from the mirror in my car, as a reminder how fragile life is. This kid kills me with his watermelons. He always wants to buy them, so he can help me cut them, but then won't eat them. When I pointed this out to him, he simply replied that I could take the watermelon to my co-workers again because they love it when I do.  Fox told me he is allergic to Goodwill and puts on this big act whenever I make them go. His throat starts to be itchy and he can't breathe. We might have to get him tested again...hahaha. We visited a lot of play places this summer to stay out of the heat. This was at a library and the kids played with this lite-brite forever. Finn...
