My Once Upon a Time...

I bought this little Elf years and years ago, before I ever had Fox, long before I was even pregnant.  I couldn't wait until I could put this little guy to use. Last year, we introduced him for the first time, which is when Fox named him "Airplane the Elf". Since Fox was only 2.5 years old at the time, we only moved him around the house and he was excited to find him every morning.  This year however, was a whole new ballgame, and December 1st couldn't come soon enough for me.  Day 1 We started the tradition last year, that our Elf always brings Fox his Advent Calendar, he got a Lego one this year. He was super excited to see him, although I think he was more stoked about the present and candies he brought with him. Day 2 Day 3 Day 4 Starting off Monday right. Day 5 Day 6 Day 7 This must have been Fox's favorite, he was cracking up and told everyone about it. Day 8 Day 9 ...

Last weekend, we visited Lights of the World with Katie's parents. It was held at the Fairgrounds for the very first time and since we also have our Shows there through work, we got some free tickets.  We had heard some negative reviews and it was very expensive to get in, so if it wasn't for those free admission tickets, we probably wouldn't have gone.  I actually ended up liking it a lot and thought it was very cool. It wasn't too crowded either, but it was late and freezing, so we didn't stay too long. Katie ended up giving her jacket to Fox, because we had failed to bring him one. Oops! This kid doesn't need to see christmas lights or have special toys or anything, as long as he's with Grandpa, he is having a blast.  Not sure what the boys were looking at, but Katie was clearly excited. We got home way past Fox's bedtime and for like the first time ever, he laid down in bed, closed his eyes ...

I have a problem. I know I do. I keep telling myself that I'll put a break on pictures and then I see all these cute set ups and before you can count to 10, I have reserved a space and paid for it.  There were several more mini sessions offered by a different photographer that I had my eye on, but I knew I couldn't possibly drag Fox to take pictures every single week, so I picked my favorite photographer and knew she would make it an awesome experience for Fox.  He used to complain about taking pictures, but hasn't said a peep ever since we switched to Packer Family Photography and even gives her hugs at the end of each session.  Plus, how can you not have fun, when you're allowed to jump on someone's bed? Not having to put real clothes on certainly helped too. This boy loves to stay in his jammies all day long, just like his Mama! We were in and out within 10 minutes and I love the memories she cap...
