Ashlie & Brad's Wedding

Last weekend we celebrated Ashlie & Brad's wedding. For those of you who don't know, Ashlie is Katie's younger sister who used to live with us for a few years. She has been dreaming and anticipating this day ever since I can remember and I think it was everything she hoped and dreamed for.
Fox was the ring bearer and Katie was her maid of honor, so everyone had a busy day!
I only took a few pictures on my cell phone, because I was busy chasing after a certain three year old.

Fox was supposed to run down the aisle with a giant balloon that said "Here comes the bride". We talked about it, we practiced it and he was super stoked about it. But when the time came, he got stage freight and had a total meltdown. He ended up walking down the aisle with Grandma and Uncle Brett with the biggest pouty face you ever did see and by the time he got to the front and in to my lap, he totally lost it and cried and sobbed that he wanted to go home. Which is so not like him at all.

He cheered up a little after the ceremony, but was adament that he didn't like his "wedding costume".

My wife looked absolutely stunning! I'm so happy to have her as my forever wedding date!

Grandpa, Katie and Fox on the dance floor!

Ashlie made sure to have a special vegan cupcake for Fox and it made his night!

Father-Daughter Dance

Fox even met some of his second cousins for the first time and the boys had fun playing tag on the dance floor and reading books together.
It was a beautiful and super fun wedding, but we were all exhausted at the end of the day!
The happy couple is now on their honeymoon in Italy and we can't wait to hear all about their travels!

July iPhone dump

The rest of our July in pictures! Movie date with the boys! I took Finn and his best friend to the Aquarium one day, while Fox was at the allergist with Katie. They both had a blast. Trying to touch the sting rays... Sweet brotherly moment at a play place. One of my patients made this for me, and it made my day. It's now hanging from the mirror in my car, as a reminder how fragile life is. This kid kills me with his watermelons. He always wants to buy them, so he can help me cut them, but then won't eat them. When I pointed this out to him, he simply replied that I could take the watermelon to my co-workers again because they love it when I do.  Fox told me he is allergic to Goodwill and puts on this big act whenever I make them go. His throat starts to be itchy and he can't breathe. We might have to get him tested again...hahaha. We visited a lot of play places this summer to stay out of the heat. This was at a library and the kids played with this lite-brite forever. Finn...

March iPhone dump

A look back at the month of March! Fox and I had a few hours to ourselves while Finn was at a birthday party, and he wanted to go shopping at Target and get some Starbucks. Sounds like my kind of date! This is where you can find him most days, playing games with his friends online, while simultaneously being on facetime with them. When did he get so big? Family game night outside! My sour patch kid. He told me he will still cuddle with me until he is 42...haha! I've been having a really hard time sharing parenting time lately. It kills me every time when I have to drop them off every other week for a stretch of five days, and I have been getting anxiety attacks. I know they are well taken care of, I know they have fun there and don't even think about me, but it still sucks. Whenever I'm not with them, I'm at work, and I guess it's just been extra hard because I never had to be away from them as much as I have since becoming a nurse.  Fox brought this home from schoo...
