Katie & Nadine in 2014: Week 7

Day 43
I've been looking for pillows for our nursery window seat FOREVER. I was getting so frustrated because I didn't find anything I liked, or they were like $50 per pillow, which I definitely wasn't willing to spend.
Katie surprised me and just bought these four pillows for us and I absolutely love them! One of the small ones has a Dr. Seuss quote on it and the other says: "I carry your heart, I carry it in my heart".
She is so amazing and me and baby J are so lucky to have her!

I carry your heart, I carry it in my heart".

Day 44
We packed our suitcase to fly for a long weekend to North Carolina, only to find out that our flight was cancelled because there was a huge snow storm on the East Coast. How ironic that it was 90 degrees in Phoenix! Because of work we weren't able to fly a few days later, but hopefully we'll make it to NC at some point (this was the second time we had to cancel this trip - the first time, it was because Zuma had a seizure).

Day 45
Robert & Katie with their Valentine's Day dates! Ha! We actually hired the "Kitchen Cousins" to come out to our May Show and we hope that they'll be just as awesome as the Property Brothers were last year.

Day 46
We spent the day with Katie's Family and visited a Peach Festival where we didn't see one single peach! Oh well, we had fun anyway!

Day 47
We worked around the house... assembling more furniture and making these cupcake toppers for our baby shower.

Day 48
After three months of living in our new house, we finally cleaned out one half of the garage, so I can park in there! Let's see if we can get the rest cleaned out by the end of the year, so Katie can park in there too!

Day 49
28 weeks (and 4 days) pregnant!

28 Wochen (und 4 Tage) schwanger!

Comments

  1. Love, love, love the pillows! "I carry your heart, I carry it in my heart" is one of my fav quotes that we incorporated it in Gracie's baby book last year. I can't wait to see the rest of the nursery! Sounds like things are really coming along. :)

July iPhone dump

The rest of our July in pictures! Movie date with the boys! I took Finn and his best friend to the Aquarium one day, while Fox was at the allergist with Katie. They both had a blast. Trying to touch the sting rays... Sweet brotherly moment at a play place. One of my patients made this for me, and it made my day. It's now hanging from the mirror in my car, as a reminder how fragile life is. This kid kills me with his watermelons. He always wants to buy them, so he can help me cut them, but then won't eat them. When I pointed this out to him, he simply replied that I could take the watermelon to my co-workers again because they love it when I do.  Fox told me he is allergic to Goodwill and puts on this big act whenever I make them go. His throat starts to be itchy and he can't breathe. We might have to get him tested again...hahaha. We visited a lot of play places this summer to stay out of the heat. This was at a library and the kids played with this lite-brite forever. Finn...

March iPhone dump

A look back at the month of March! Fox and I had a few hours to ourselves while Finn was at a birthday party, and he wanted to go shopping at Target and get some Starbucks. Sounds like my kind of date! This is where you can find him most days, playing games with his friends online, while simultaneously being on facetime with them. When did he get so big? Family game night outside! My sour patch kid. He told me he will still cuddle with me until he is 42...haha! I've been having a really hard time sharing parenting time lately. It kills me every time when I have to drop them off every other week for a stretch of five days, and I have been getting anxiety attacks. I know they are well taken care of, I know they have fun there and don't even think about me, but it still sucks. Whenever I'm not with them, I'm at work, and I guess it's just been extra hard because I never had to be away from them as much as I have since becoming a nurse.  Fox brought this home from schoo...
