Week 25

January 25th, 2014

How far along:
25 weeks

Baby is the size of a:
Cauliflower...dang, when did this happen?

Total weight gain:
I didn’t weigh myself this week.

Maternity Clothes?
Nothing new. Still wearing a mix of both.

Stretch Marks?
Not yet.

Sleep?
Pretty uncomfortable this week and I know it’s just going to get worse from here on out!

Best moment of the Week:
Finishing our baby registry and buying some cute stuff for Baby J! We also celebrated a late Christmas with Katie’s family and our little boy got spoiled! These days, I’m more excited to get presents for him than for myself! :)

Movement:
Constantly! The kicks are getting stronger and I feel him all day, every day... it feels like he never sleeps!

Food Cravings:
Nothing unusual.

Belly Button in or out:
Still in...I wonder for how much longer!

Gender:
Sweet baby boy! Our doctor keeps confirming it at every appointment...haha.

Symptoms:
Pregnancy Acne and having back and rib pains. Not fun!

Anything Making you queasy or Sick?
Feeling great!

Have you Started to Show yet?
Getting bigger each week!

What I miss:
Same as last week: My clear skin and sleeping comfortably. Especially sleeping on my back or stomach!

What I'm looking forward to:
Our hospital tour this weekend!

What I'm not looking forward to:
Getting more uncomfortable with my growing belly in the coming weeks.

Weekly Wisdom:
Baby Shopping is overwhelming and I was so glad to have Katie by my side to make all the decisions I couldn’t make!

Wie weit:
25 Wochen

Symptome:
Schwangerschaftsakne, Rueckenschmerzen und Schmerzen in meinen Rippen. Gar nicht lustig!

Gibt es etwas, wovon dir schlecht wird?
Nein, ich fuehle mich super!

Kann man dir die Schwangerschaft ansehen?
Der Bauch wird jede Woche groesser!

Was ich vermisse:

July iPhone dump

The rest of our July in pictures! Movie date with the boys! I took Finn and his best friend to the Aquarium one day, while Fox was at the allergist with Katie. They both had a blast. Trying to touch the sting rays... Sweet brotherly moment at a play place. One of my patients made this for me, and it made my day. It's now hanging from the mirror in my car, as a reminder how fragile life is. This kid kills me with his watermelons. He always wants to buy them, so he can help me cut them, but then won't eat them. When I pointed this out to him, he simply replied that I could take the watermelon to my co-workers again because they love it when I do.  Fox told me he is allergic to Goodwill and puts on this big act whenever I make them go. His throat starts to be itchy and he can't breathe. We might have to get him tested again...hahaha. We visited a lot of play places this summer to stay out of the heat. This was at a library and the kids played with this lite-brite forever. Finn...

March iPhone dump

A look back at the month of March! Fox and I had a few hours to ourselves while Finn was at a birthday party, and he wanted to go shopping at Target and get some Starbucks. Sounds like my kind of date! This is where you can find him most days, playing games with his friends online, while simultaneously being on facetime with them. When did he get so big? Family game night outside! My sour patch kid. He told me he will still cuddle with me until he is 42...haha! I've been having a really hard time sharing parenting time lately. It kills me every time when I have to drop them off every other week for a stretch of five days, and I have been getting anxiety attacks. I know they are well taken care of, I know they have fun there and don't even think about me, but it still sucks. Whenever I'm not with them, I'm at work, and I guess it's just been extra hard because I never had to be away from them as much as I have since becoming a nurse.  Fox brought this home from schoo...
