Blog Book

I've planned to have my little blog printed into a book for years now. I just wanted to make sure I'd have all of my memories preserved, for me, Katie and our kids, just in case "Blogger" shuts down.
I started working on it in March of 2012, got frustrated and took a long break, while it kept "looming over me" on my "to-do list" forever.
I eventually got my act together this spring and worked on it multiple times a week, with the thought, that if I didn't get this done before I had a baby, it would never ever get done!
I can't even tell you the sense of accomplishment I felt when I was finally done!
The book consists of 388 pages and 7 years worth of memories. It is the most expensive book I will ever buy ($181), but it was the best present I could've ever gotten myself!
I was smiling like a child on Christmas Morning, when it finally arrived in the mail and I hope my kids will treasure it just as much as I do when they are older!

  1. The book came out great! I have our blog printed into a book every year and I'm actually working on v.IX (2013) right now. You're right, it is SUPER expensive but so worth the money especially because like you said, who knows how long Blogger will be around! It's such a great way to preserve special memories. :)

April phone dump

Some more pictures of our April. He's my bed hog, but I love sharing the bed with him and the way he comes find me in his sleep to snuggle up to me. Work Crew! Easter Preparations...it took me a solid hour to fill all the eggs. Finn chipped his permanent front tooth, and had to get it fixed. He was so brave. I tried to hold his hand to let him know I was there, and he kept giving me a thumbs up. Reading in bed with them is my favorite. We went to play mini golf, and it was an absolutely shit show. Just look at Finn in the background, he was on fire on this day. That's his "cool face". Not pictured are all the times he melted down because he wasn't "good enough". I really need to stop playing this game with him, because it happens every single time...haha.  Book Club! I wasn't a fan of the book, but it was great getting out and talking about books with other readers. He got into kinetic sand for a few weeks, and I felt like my floors were covered in s...

July iPhone dump

The rest of our July in pictures! Movie date with the boys! I took Finn and his best friend to the Aquarium one day, while Fox was at the allergist with Katie. They both had a blast. Trying to touch the sting rays... Sweet brotherly moment at a play place. One of my patients made this for me, and it made my day. It's now hanging from the mirror in my car, as a reminder how fragile life is. This kid kills me with his watermelons. He always wants to buy them, so he can help me cut them, but then won't eat them. When I pointed this out to him, he simply replied that I could take the watermelon to my co-workers again because they love it when I do.  Fox told me he is allergic to Goodwill and puts on this big act whenever I make them go. His throat starts to be itchy and he can't breathe. We might have to get him tested again...hahaha. We visited a lot of play places this summer to stay out of the heat. This was at a library and the kids played with this lite-brite forever. Finn...
