Deck the Halls!

I'm linking up with Kelly's Korner this week, she's hosting a Christmas Tour of Homes!
I love Christmas Time, it's my favorite time of the year and I usually can't wait until the day after Thanksgiving to put all of my decorations up....this year was no different!
This is our Advent Calendar, which is probably my most favorite decoration in the house right now, even though I'm not the one who gets to open the presents each day! But planning it all out was just as much fun for me! :)

Only in Arizona...
Nur in Arizona...

I miss having a fireplace, especially during the holidays. Where am I supposed to put my stockings? I guess that's what you get for living in the desert! :)
Every year, we put them in a new place, just to realize that we don't like them there either, this year they made their way to the stairs and I haven't decided yet if I like them there or not.

We bought this christmas tree in 2007, living in our first apartment, celebrating our first christmas together. I remember being so proud of having my very own christmas tree and we actually had to move furniture in our tiny living room to accommodate it.
For the $30 it cost us, it has more than paid for itself, but I think it's time for an upgrade next year!

Thanks for stopping by!
Danke fuers vorbeischauen!

  7. I love your tree! I think it is so pretty! Cute idea to put the stockings on the stairwell. We don't have a mantle or stairs, so we had to hang our stockings behind the tree on little nails. :-)

July iPhone dump

The rest of our July in pictures! Movie date with the boys! I took Finn and his best friend to the Aquarium one day, while Fox was at the allergist with Katie. They both had a blast. Trying to touch the sting rays... Sweet brotherly moment at a play place. One of my patients made this for me, and it made my day. It's now hanging from the mirror in my car, as a reminder how fragile life is. This kid kills me with his watermelons. He always wants to buy them, so he can help me cut them, but then won't eat them. When I pointed this out to him, he simply replied that I could take the watermelon to my co-workers again because they love it when I do.  Fox told me he is allergic to Goodwill and puts on this big act whenever I make them go. His throat starts to be itchy and he can't breathe. We might have to get him tested again...hahaha. We visited a lot of play places this summer to stay out of the heat. This was at a library and the kids played with this lite-brite forever. Finn...

March iPhone dump

A look back at the month of March! Fox and I had a few hours to ourselves while Finn was at a birthday party, and he wanted to go shopping at Target and get some Starbucks. Sounds like my kind of date! This is where you can find him most days, playing games with his friends online, while simultaneously being on facetime with them. When did he get so big? Family game night outside! My sour patch kid. He told me he will still cuddle with me until he is 42...haha! I've been having a really hard time sharing parenting time lately. It kills me every time when I have to drop them off every other week for a stretch of five days, and I have been getting anxiety attacks. I know they are well taken care of, I know they have fun there and don't even think about me, but it still sucks. Whenever I'm not with them, I'm at work, and I guess it's just been extra hard because I never had to be away from them as much as I have since becoming a nurse.  Fox brought this home from schoo...
