The D-Box

Katie took me to see a D-Box Movie last weekend and after experiencing it for the first time, I don't know how I can ever go back and watch a regular movie in the theater. Oh wait, yes I can, the $18 per ticket will probably do it! I could say now, that it's a total rip off, but if you haven't seen a movie at the d-box yet, I say, go see one! It was AWESOME. I really really loved it.
First of all, the theater was beautiful, I've never seen anything like it and you're escorted to your seats, which kinda feels awkward, but whatever. The seats are bigger and you have more leg room, but that's probably not reason enough for anyone to spend $18 on a movie.
Once the movie started, the seats started to move as well, they're programmed for that specific movie you're watching, so i.e. when they were driving in a car, the seats vibrated lightly to give you the illusion of driving with them. Once the action scenes start, the seats jolted back and forth more violently as well.
There are only two rows of D-Box Seats in the whole theater, so you definitely need to order the tickets in advance, but like I said, I thought it was totally worth it. We saw Super 8 by the way, which was good, but I'm really excited for the new Harry Potter to come out and I already know where I'm gonna see it...at the D-Box of course.

July iPhone dump

The rest of our July in pictures! Movie date with the boys! I took Finn and his best friend to the Aquarium one day, while Fox was at the allergist with Katie. They both had a blast. Trying to touch the sting rays... Sweet brotherly moment at a play place. One of my patients made this for me, and it made my day. It's now hanging from the mirror in my car, as a reminder how fragile life is. This kid kills me with his watermelons. He always wants to buy them, so he can help me cut them, but then won't eat them. When I pointed this out to him, he simply replied that I could take the watermelon to my co-workers again because they love it when I do.  Fox told me he is allergic to Goodwill and puts on this big act whenever I make them go. His throat starts to be itchy and he can't breathe. We might have to get him tested again...hahaha. We visited a lot of play places this summer to stay out of the heat. This was at a library and the kids played with this lite-brite forever. Finn...

March iPhone dump

A look back at the month of March! Fox and I had a few hours to ourselves while Finn was at a birthday party, and he wanted to go shopping at Target and get some Starbucks. Sounds like my kind of date! This is where you can find him most days, playing games with his friends online, while simultaneously being on facetime with them. When did he get so big? Family game night outside! My sour patch kid. He told me he will still cuddle with me until he is 42...haha! I've been having a really hard time sharing parenting time lately. It kills me every time when I have to drop them off every other week for a stretch of five days, and I have been getting anxiety attacks. I know they are well taken care of, I know they have fun there and don't even think about me, but it still sucks. Whenever I'm not with them, I'm at work, and I guess it's just been extra hard because I never had to be away from them as much as I have since becoming a nurse.  Fox brought this home from schoo...
