Twilight Mania!

Was zum Teufel?

Last Tuesday was the Premiere of Eclipse, the newest Twilight movie and we went to see the Trilogy, all three parts in a row. Usually I'm not a big fan of Midnight premieres, crowded theaters and a bunch of screaming fans, but I love to spend a whole night at the movies to see Trilogies and so we went.
The movie was awesome, but I really enjoyed watching the "craziness" that was going on before and during the movie. I've never seen anything like this. Ashlie went to the theater at 10:30am to get her ticket and she said the line was already out the door, although the first movie was scheduled to begin at 7pm. And it was 115 degrees outside. When I got to the theater around 5:30pm it was packed. Hundreds of fans, that were mostly half my age, were sitting in the foyer waiting to get into the theater. There were beach chairs, big coolers with cold drinks and people had brought fast food (I'm still not sure why there were allowed to bring food and drinks into the theater...if I only had known!:)). A lot of people came in pajamas, they brought pillows and blankets, they played cards, read books and chatted full of excitement in anticipation of the movie. Of course, every other person was wearing a "Team Jacob" or "Team Edward" shirts and there was a lot of screaming during the movie going on, basically every time someone in the movie took off their shirt! It was nuts.
Eclipse ended around 2am and I couldn't believe my eyes when I stepped out of the theater, because there was another huge line for the 2:45am showing! What the....? Who wants to watch a movie at this hour, didn't they have jobs? Crazy World.
It was an awesome experience and believe me, if there ever is a Harry Potter night, I'll be there...including my cooler, blanket and in PJ's!:)

  1. ;) The same situation here in CA! As soon as Jacob finished his sentence "We both know I'm hotter than you" everybody was yelling "Hell...Yeah!" So funny!

July iPhone dump

The rest of our July in pictures! Movie date with the boys! I took Finn and his best friend to the Aquarium one day, while Fox was at the allergist with Katie. They both had a blast. Trying to touch the sting rays... Sweet brotherly moment at a play place. One of my patients made this for me, and it made my day. It's now hanging from the mirror in my car, as a reminder how fragile life is. This kid kills me with his watermelons. He always wants to buy them, so he can help me cut them, but then won't eat them. When I pointed this out to him, he simply replied that I could take the watermelon to my co-workers again because they love it when I do.  Fox told me he is allergic to Goodwill and puts on this big act whenever I make them go. His throat starts to be itchy and he can't breathe. We might have to get him tested again...hahaha. We visited a lot of play places this summer to stay out of the heat. This was at a library and the kids played with this lite-brite forever. Finn...

March iPhone dump

A look back at the month of March! Fox and I had a few hours to ourselves while Finn was at a birthday party, and he wanted to go shopping at Target and get some Starbucks. Sounds like my kind of date! This is where you can find him most days, playing games with his friends online, while simultaneously being on facetime with them. When did he get so big? Family game night outside! My sour patch kid. He told me he will still cuddle with me until he is 42...haha! I've been having a really hard time sharing parenting time lately. It kills me every time when I have to drop them off every other week for a stretch of five days, and I have been getting anxiety attacks. I know they are well taken care of, I know they have fun there and don't even think about me, but it still sucks. Whenever I'm not with them, I'm at work, and I guess it's just been extra hard because I never had to be away from them as much as I have since becoming a nurse.  Fox brought this home from schoo...
