Flagstaff with Friends

This was our second annual "Friends Trip" to Flagstaff with the kids and it made me so incredibly happy spending time with my friends and all of our kids.

Jessica and I got to the AirBnB early, and took the kids downtown for lunch and some shopping.

This girl has been my constant support, sounding board, and seriously such an amazing friend to me.

Our cute little AirBnB.

Tilly and Becky arrived shortly after we got back, and I immediately snatched up the baby! Happy place!

The kids immediately started a game of hide and seek in the house and listening to their laughter made me so happy.

His smile is 100% fake. I handed him the baby to see his reaction, and he was so awkward about it haha. Neither of my boys want another sibling!

Check out these smiles! Even though they hadn't seen each other in a year, they all got along so well.

We hung out on the patio all night, and after being in the Phoenix heat for the last two months, it was such a nice break to sit outside and catch up.

The next day we took the kids to Bearizona where Tilly organized the most epic scavenger hunt for them in about five minutes flat.

We let them run around in two teams and they all had a blast.

Second try of handing him the baby...haha.

Some of us took a nap when we got back to the cabin (including me and it was glorious), we ordered pizza, and opened the hot tub.

It ended up raining and it was so nice.
One of my favorite moments of this trip was actually that night, when we forced all the kids to go on a post rain neighborhood walk in the dark with us and the little kids ended up playing basketball in the street for a long time. It felt like a "90's summer".

On our final day in Flagstaff, we decided to take the kids to the ropes course again, but this year, we split the bigs and littles up, and Becky and I braved the adult course with the big kids.
I’ve been waiting for Fox to be old enough to do the adult ropes course with me for years, so doing one of my favorite activities not only with him, but also our friends was a dream come true. I loved seeing all the little friends encourage each other and cheer each other on when things got scary. Core memory!

These two hadn't seen each other in a while, but became fast besties again. Finn has actually asked for Charlie every single day since coming back.

Fox was definitely scared, but he was embracing his fears and I was so proud of him, but most importantly he was proud of himself.

I hope we will do these trips for years to come, it was so relaxing to co-parent with a bunch of other moms and seeing the kids have so much fun together.

July iPhone dump

The rest of our July in pictures! Movie date with the boys! I took Finn and his best friend to the Aquarium one day, while Fox was at the allergist with Katie. They both had a blast. Trying to touch the sting rays... Sweet brotherly moment at a play place. One of my patients made this for me, and it made my day. It's now hanging from the mirror in my car, as a reminder how fragile life is. This kid kills me with his watermelons. He always wants to buy them, so he can help me cut them, but then won't eat them. When I pointed this out to him, he simply replied that I could take the watermelon to my co-workers again because they love it when I do.  Fox told me he is allergic to Goodwill and puts on this big act whenever I make them go. His throat starts to be itchy and he can't breathe. We might have to get him tested again...hahaha. We visited a lot of play places this summer to stay out of the heat. This was at a library and the kids played with this lite-brite forever. Finn...

April phone dump

Some more pictures of our April. He's my bed hog, but I love sharing the bed with him and the way he comes find me in his sleep to snuggle up to me. Work Crew! Easter Preparations...it took me a solid hour to fill all the eggs. Finn chipped his permanent front tooth, and had to get it fixed. He was so brave. I tried to hold his hand to let him know I was there, and he kept giving me a thumbs up. Reading in bed with them is my favorite. We went to play mini golf, and it was an absolutely shit show. Just look at Finn in the background, he was on fire on this day. That's his "cool face". Not pictured are all the times he melted down because he wasn't "good enough". I really need to stop playing this game with him, because it happens every single time...haha.  Book Club! I wasn't a fan of the book, but it was great getting out and talking about books with other readers. He got into kinetic sand for a few weeks, and I felt like my floors were covered in s...
