July iPhone dump

The rest of our July in pictures! Movie date with the boys! I took Finn and his best friend to the Aquarium one day, while Fox was at the allergist with Katie. They both had a blast. Trying to touch the sting rays... Sweet brotherly moment at a play place. One of my patients made this for me, and it made my day. It's now hanging from the mirror in my car, as a reminder how fragile life is. This kid kills me with his watermelons. He always wants to buy them, so he can help me cut them, but then won't eat them. When I pointed this out to him, he simply replied that I could take the watermelon to my co-workers again because they love it when I do.  Fox told me he is allergic to Goodwill and puts on this big act whenever I make them go. His throat starts to be itchy and he can't breathe. We might have to get him tested again...hahaha. We visited a lot of play places this summer to stay out of the heat. This was at a library and the kids played with this lite-brite forever. Finn...

Finn's 7th Birthday

Six is still little to me, but 7?!? Growing up right before my eyes, but he is still my little love bug who gives the best hugs and kisses and will always be my baby. He really wanted some gamer headphones like the ones Fox has. I didn't know it at the time, but he wanted them for school.  Apparently he likes everything Fox has, so he had to get his own tornado lamp as well, since Fox won't let him use his lamp. We went to breakfast with his great-grandparents, and Grandma had given him birthday money while we were in Washington, so he spent it at the toy store next to the breakfast restaurant and bought this toy. That night, we met up with Katie and Christina to do a family activity of his choice with him, and he chose mini golf. Followed by dinner at JoJo's where they have the best milkshakes. I think he had a great day, and I'm so grateful for this little guy and the privilege of being his Mama.

Washington/Oregon Trip

The boys' Grandma bought a house in Washington last year, and invited us to come visit her. Katie actually took the kids there a week beforehand, and then I flew in by myself to take over the boys. Finn loved showing me around, especially telling me all about his chicken coop duties. On my first day there, we decided to use the kayak. Grandma hadn't warned us about the mud at the shore, and we were quickly sinking in knee deep, Finn even lost a shoe that we would never find again. We eventually made it on the water, while my friend Allison, who had flown in from Michigan to join us on this trip, stayed on the shore with Finn.  He is such a dog lover! Grandma was showing him eagles from the porch. The weather was so perfect, and I loved playing soccer with the kids on the grass on our first night there. Katie had set up an obstacle course for them in the woods, but that activity was pretty short lived. The next day, Allison, the boys and I, drove an hour to go to Seattle. I had ...
