Finn | Week 24

Finn is 24 weeks old!
 

And just like that, he's big enough to use his bath seat for the first time. Insert emotional Mama here.

He has been really rolling from back to tummy this week, and then he usually gets mad, because he can't roll back.

Cuddles with Big Brother

Another first this week: We retired the baby bassinet and put the toddler seat on the stroller. He loved it! Me...not so much! I'm having a hard time with this baby growing up!

Every morning, Finn and I wake up Fox together. Fox usually doesn't like to be woken up, but he doesn't mind it, when he realizes that Finn is in his bed and he can cuddle with him.

Not just a week of "firsts", but also a week of "lasts". Finn's last time at Baby Music Class, before he transitioned into the next age group.

    Those "firsts" come along so much faster with the second one then they ever did with the first! That picture of Finn waking Fox up is just the cutest. His little hand!

Some of my favorite moments of May that haven't made it on the blog yet. May has been such an incredible month and I wish I could turn back time and do it all over again. December iPhone dump

December came and went in a flash! We visited Santa! I started a new job in November as a patient care technician in the Oncology unit at the hospital I'm hoping to get hired by after I graduate. I have heard from many people that this hospital usually hires nurses from within, so I wanted to get my foot in the door, and also gain some more experience before graduating. I was really nervous about handling two 12 hour days per week, on top of school and sharing custody of the kids, and while it hasn't been easy, it has been very rewarding. I love the unit I'm on, the patients, the people I work with, and it's a very humbling experience to work in Oncology.  I took a screen shot of my activity after one of my shifts, I usually average between 7.5-9.5 miles per day, just from walking all over the unit.  The boys are playing bar with their cousin at Grandma's house.  We celebrated their cousin's first birthday! Graduation Party

My mother in law Rene' and my friend Allison threw me a graduation brunch the day after I got pinned as a nurse. I love this picture of Patrick. My other (ex) mother in law made this incredible cake for me, she is so talented. My sweet friend Mason. We spent our first year in nursing school together, until he decided to go a different route. We still meet up for brunches and he is also my hairdresser, but I still miss seeing him as much as I used to. It meant a lot to me that he came.  I can't even express how loved I felt on this day. I am one lucky girl to be surrounded by so many amazing friends who have been through it all with me. Ten years of friendship this year! Katie and Christina brought the boys and also attended my party, which I really appreciated. Classmates! I was joking that the next time I will receive this many flowers, it'll be my funeral.
