Socks & Dust Bunnies

You never really know how many dust bunnies live under your bed until your crazy dog makes it a mission to squeeze his big body under the bed just to get a hold of some socks that had rolled under the bed when I folded the laundry. And let me tell you, Zuma LOVES socks! One time I sat on the floor to put my socks on and he snuck up behind me and stole one of them right out of my lap. Clean or dirty, he really doesn't care and just likes to keep them in his mouth and carry them around. Wouldn't be a problem, if his brother wouldn't eat them!
Anyway, it was too funny how he managed to get under the bed and I was lucky enough that Katie caught it on tape, so I wanted to share it with you, so don't mind the dust bunnies!:)
They love each other!
Die beiden lieben sich wirklich!

December iPhone dump

December came and went in a flash! We visited Santa! I started a new job in November as a patient care technician in the Oncology unit at the hospital I'm hoping to get hired by after I graduate. I have heard from many people that this hospital usually hires nurses from within, so I wanted to get my foot in the door, and also gain some more experience before graduating. I was really nervous about handling two 12 hour days per week, on top of school and sharing custody of the kids, and while it hasn't been easy, it has been very rewarding. I love the unit I'm on, the patients, the people I work with, and it's a very humbling experience to work in Oncology.  I took a screen shot of my activity after one of my shifts, I usually average between 7.5-9.5 miles per day, just from walking all over the unit.  The boys are playing bar with their cousin at Grandma's house.  We celebrated their cousin's first birthday! S'mores in the backyard. Nikolaus (a german traditi

June iPhone dump

A look back at a very long June! Pool time with friends is always more fun. Mom's night out with these lovely ladies. When your friend has an ice bath, you bribe all the kids to go in! Such a fun morning with this crew! It was seriously so cold, it hurt my skin. The kids went all the way in, I only made it into a sitting position. These two were good friends when they were very little, and I love seeing them reconnecting and having a blast together. The ice bath crew! Marcela and I took the kids to Costco for some shopping and pizza, it was a crazy endeavor. He spends most of his days like this, roaming around the house on his hover board and listening to Harry Potter. The boys and I visited a local dinosaur exhibit, because Finn had been asking for like two years to go back. Ice cream date after swim lessons with our friends. I love watching the kids doing karate, it's so cute. Every Friday we go to the movies with some friends. These are all older movies, but it was $8 for 8

September iPhone dump

A few moments from our September! The last swim play date at the water park with some friends! Brunch with my old classmates! Karate crew! Every other week, I can go visit the kids during their lunch break at school, and I will show up as long as they let me! Fox and his best friend from class. We decorated for Halloween, and this kid was all about it. This was his idea of decorating, and he was not happy when he came home the following day and I had moved his spider into a different spot. He calls this his "Rockstar Pose" We changed Fox's room a little bit, and I was very sad to say goodbye to his space room and rocket bed, but it was time, and he loves his new room. A quick scooter ride to the little library in our neighborhood to exchange books. He cracks me up every day. The other day I picked him up from school and asked how it was, and he replied "It was decent!"  I'm getting up really early these days for clinical days and school, but on this morning
