September iPhone dump

A few moments from our September!

The last swim play date at the water park with some friends!

Brunch with my old classmates!

Karate crew!

Every other week, I can go visit the kids during their lunch break at school, and I will show up as long as they let me!

Fox and his best friend from class.

We decorated for Halloween, and this kid was all about it.

This was his idea of decorating, and he was not happy when he came home the following day and I had moved his spider into a different spot.

He calls this his "Rockstar Pose"

We changed Fox's room a little bit, and I was very sad to say goodbye to his space room and rocket bed, but it was time, and he loves his new room.

A quick scooter ride to the little library in our neighborhood to exchange books.

He cracks me up every day. The other day I picked him up from school and asked how it was, and he replied "It was decent!"

I'm getting up really early these days for clinical days and school, but on this morning the sunrise made it absolutely worth it.

We picked up Miranda for Karate, and Fox is very smitten with her.

This is what happens when you have a brother...apparently they had a little (fake) axe throwing competition at Katie's house.

Another school lunch with my bestie.

I think Fox only agrees for me to come because I bring him Chick fil a...but I'll take it.

A quick trip to Flagstaff for my favorite ropes course.

I bought some booger candy for Finn because he loves to eat his boogers, but he was not impressed.

We had Fox's friend over for a playdate and the boys swam in the pool for the last time before it got too chilly.

A quick trip to San Diego for a long weekend. My professor told us the day before that we need to make school our number one priority. She said she knows we want to see the beach, but vacations have to wait until we graduate in May. These were my weekend views. Zero regrets!

It was a great, and busy month!

December iPhone dump

December came and went in a flash! We visited Santa! I started a new job in November as a patient care technician in the Oncology unit at the hospital I'm hoping to get hired by after I graduate. I have heard from many people that this hospital usually hires nurses from within, so I wanted to get my foot in the door, and also gain some more experience before graduating. I was really nervous about handling two 12 hour days per week, on top of school and sharing custody of the kids, and while it hasn't been easy, it has been very rewarding. I love the unit I'm on, the patients, the people I work with, and it's a very humbling experience to work in Oncology.  I took a screen shot of my activity after one of my shifts, I usually average between 7.5-9.5 miles per day, just from walking all over the unit.  The boys are playing bar with their cousin at Grandma's house.  We celebrated their cousin's first birthday! June iPhone dump

A look back at a very long June! Pool time with friends is always more fun. Mom's night out with these lovely ladies. When your friend has an ice bath, you bribe all the kids to go in! Such a fun morning with this crew! It was seriously so cold, it hurt my skin. The kids went all the way in, I only made it into a sitting position. These two were good friends when they were very little, and I love seeing them reconnecting and having a blast together. The ice bath crew! Marcela and I took the kids to Costco for some shopping and pizza, it was a crazy endeavor. He spends most of his days like this, roaming around the house on his hover board and listening to Harry Potter. The boys and I visited a local dinosaur exhibit, because Finn had been asking for like two years to go back. Ice cream date after swim lessons with our friends. I love watching the kids doing karate, it's so cute. Every Friday we go to the movies with some friends. These are all older movies, but it was $8 for 8
